Prerequisites​

Before connecting:

  • Active Gumroad account
  • At least one product on Gumroad
  • Artbase account on any paid plan
  • Gumroad API access token

Getting Your API Key​

Step 1: Access Gumroad Settings​

  1. Log in to Gumroad
  2. Click your profile icon
  3. Go to Settings
  4. Select Advanced

Step 2: Generate API Token​

  1. Scroll to API section
  2. Click Generate Access Token
  3. Copy the token immediately (shown only once)
  4. Store securely—you'll need this for Artbase

Keep your API token secure. Anyone with this token can access your Gumroad data.

Connecting to Artbase​

Step 1: Open Channel Settings​

  1. Go to Channels in Creator Hub
  2. Click Connect Channel
  3. Select Gumroad

Step 2: Enter API Key​

  1. Paste your Gumroad API token
  2. Click Verify Connection
  3. Artbase validates the token

Step 3: Initial Sync​

After connecting:

  1. Recent sales are fetched (last 30 days)
  2. Products are imported for mapping
  3. Initial sync takes a few minutes
  4. Sales appear in your orders dashboard

What Gets Synced​

Every Gumroad sale includes:

  • Transaction ID
  • Customer email
  • Product purchased
  • Sale amount
  • Date and time
  • License key (if applicable)

Products​

Your Gumroad products sync for:

Managing Connection​

View Status​

Your Gumroad connection shows:

  • Connection status

Refresh API Token​

If you regenerate your Gumroad token:

  1. Go to Channels
  2. Click Gumroad connection
  3. Click Update API Key
  4. Enter new token
  5. Verify connection

Disconnect​

To remove Gumroad connection:

  1. Go to Channels
  2. Click Gumroad connection
  3. Select Disconnect
  4. Confirm

Synced sales remain in your history.

Troubleshooting​

Invalid API Token​

Symptoms: Connection fails with auth error

Solutions:

  1. Regenerate token in Gumroad
  2. Ensure no extra spaces when pasting
  3. Check token hasn't been revoked

Sales Not Syncing​

Symptoms: New Gumroad sales don't appear

Solutions:

  1. Verify connection is active
  2. Click "Sync Now"
  3. Wait up to 1 hour for auto-sync
  4. Check Gumroad shows the sale

Missing Customer Info​

Symptoms: Customer email shows as private

Solutions:

  • Some customers hide email from sellers
  • Gumroad privacy settings may limit data
