Key Revenue Metrics

Gross Revenue

Total sales before any deductions:

Gross Revenue = Sum of all order totals

Includes:

  • Product prices
  • Shipping charged
  • Tax collected

Net Revenue

What you actually keep:

Net Revenue = Gross Revenue - Fees - Refunds

Deductions:

  • Platform fees (Artbase commission)
  • Payment processing (Stripe ~2.9% + $0.30)

Average Order Value (AOV)

Revenue per order:

AOV = Total Revenue ÷ Number of Orders
