Product Performance Table

Underperforming Products

Identify products that need improvement:

Low Conversion Indicators:

  • High views, low sales → Pricing or quality issue
  • Low views, low sales → Visibility issue (tags, images)
  • High cart adds, low sales → Price sensitivity or shipping costs

Improvement Actions:

  1. Update Photos: Refresh with better images
  2. Revise Description: Add more detail or storytelling
  3. Adjust Pricing: Test different price points
  4. Check Category: Ensure correct categorization
  5. Remove Product: If consistently underperforming (6+ months)

  • "Coastal paintings convert 3x better than abstract"

Attribution Tracking

How Attribution Works

When gallery visitors discover you and visit your store:

graph LR
A[Browse Gallery] --> B[View Your Work]
B --> C[Click 'Visit Artist Store']
C --> D[Land on Your Store]
D --> E[Purchase Within 30 Days]
E --> F[You Keep 100%]

Attribution Window: 30 days from initial gallery visit

Attribution Metrics

Dashboard Shows:

MetricDescription
Attributed VisitsStore visits from gallery
Attributed SalesPurchases from gallery traffic
Attribution RevenueSales volume from gallery
Attribution Rate% of gallery viewers who visit store

Example:

Gallery Product Views: 500
Store Visits (attributed): 75 (15% rate)
Attributed Sales: 12 (16% conversion)
Attributed Revenue: $1,440 (you keep 100%)
Attribution Advantage

Attributed sales earn you 100% (minus Stripe fees) vs. 88% on gallery sales. Encourage gallery visitors to explore your full store.

Maximizing Attribution

Strategies:

  1. Compelling Profile: Great bio and banner image
  2. Clear CTA: "Visit my store for more work" in gallery profile
  3. Limited Gallery Inventory: Show "preview" on gallery, full catalog on store
  4. Social Links: Include Instagram, website to build relationships
  5. Collection Participation: Higher visibility → more attribution

Attribution Revenue

Track revenue from attributed sales:

Revenue Types:

  • Direct Gallery Sales: 88% commission → You earn 88%
  • Attributed Store Sales: No commission → You earn 100%*
  • Organic Store Sales: No commission → You earn 100%*

*Minus Stripe payment processing fees

Why It Matters: Gallery drives discovery, but attributed sales maximize your earnings. A gallery product that generates $1,000 in attributed store sales is more valuable than one generating $1,000 in direct gallery sales.

Gallery Views (homepage): 120
Collection Views ("Beach Vibes" collection): 380
Total Views: 500
Collection Impact: +317% visibility

Using Analytics to Grow

Monthly Review Process

  2. Check top performing products (create similar?)
  3. Identify underperformers (improve or remove?)
  4. Review attribution metrics (optimize profile?)
  5. Check collection performance (submit to new collections?)
  6. Compare to gallery averages (where to improve?)
  7. Set goals for next month

Goal Setting

SMART Goals:

  • Specific: "Increase gallery revenue by $500"

A/B Testing

Test changes to optimize performance:

What to Test:

  • Product photography (different angles/lighting)
  • Pricing ($99 vs $100 vs $110)
  • Description length/style
  • Product titles
  • Category placement

Testing Method:

  1. Change one variable
  2. Track for 2-4 weeks
  3. Compare to previous period
  4. Keep winning variation
  5. Test next variable
Test One Thing at a Time

Change multiple variables simultaneously and you won't know what caused the improvement (or decline).
